Okay well I am a little bit behind on my promise to post items that I have made for sale at the Maryland House Antiques on 6th.  Here are a few that are already at the shop.  I love the white ironstone and putting vinyl wording on these plates in such a beautiful font just made the plates even more fabulous. It is a simple and tasteful decoration for your wall or countertop. I ran into a wonderful inspiration piece this morning.  It will take time to find enough of these plates to do this item and so I won't be able to reveal it for awhile but here is a hint of what is to come-

Well April is here an it is my favorite time of the year!  It's Spring and everything is green and new.  It's this time of year I am thankful and very much aware of the new beginnings we have in our lives.  The transformation that is possible and the sacrifice that Jesus made for us to have this new beginning.  It is all around you in everything you see.  For me it gives me HOPE for the future and the FAITH to endure the present.  I am inspired so very much.

Inspiration photos are a unique part of my work.  I enjoy looking at pictures and finding the inspiration for my beginning steps to make a one of a kind creation with my own personality and flair! Here is a photo of my bird nests.  My eggs were not real eggs.  I used plastic eggs and painted them for a simpler effect.  I also found this string rather than using shredded paper bags for the nest.  I also applied a vinyl lettering FAITH. Well with a little paint, some creativity and vinyl lettering you can pretty much create anything beautiful!

This week is going to be the first day of the next chapter in my life.  I am opening a booth at the Maryland House Antiques.  

I love being creative and have been searching for a venue to allow me to use my creative thoughts and pursue one of my favorite passions in life which is decorating and creating custom unique one of a kind items of decor.  I have toyed with the idea for quite sometime and after reading Miss Mustard Seed blog about venturing out into unknown territory, facing fears of failure and taking action towards your dreams well I have decided I am going to have FAITH and leave all the details to the LORD and just enjoy the experience along the way.  The fear of failure has been turned into a passion to work towards become excellent and honing the gifts that have been given to me and to share those gifts and talents others.  

I shared the excitement of this opportunity with my husband, Tac and he was so supportive.  He even helped me in my frenzy this weekend in preparing furniture for the next big adventure in my life.  I feel like a spark has ignited in me and I am young and vibrant. 

This week  I will be posting many pictures of items that I will be moving to Maryland House Antiques as I set up my first booth on Sunday March 25, 2012 .  I have many pictures to share and have been making all sorts of beautiful spring and Easter items to fill it with.  My head is swirling with ideas and I am just so giddy with excitement!  I can't wait for you to see the items I have handmade and put my heart into.  I think that this opportunity to work along side a group of FUN, GODLY, CREATIVE and did I say FUN WOMEN will be an inspiration and opportunity for growth that I have been praying for.

Giving Back to Our Seniors in Our Community

Well I finally have my dream come true.  For 4 years I have wanted to host a Mother's Day Tea Fundraiser.  I decided to join Senior Ambassadors Coalition Mother's Day Tea Fundraiser Committee.  I guess my excitement for this event was pretty evident and so I ended up being Co-Chair.  I am thrilled!  I have been having so much fun letting my creativity just flow.  We decided to stick with Teapots and Tulips for our theme.  I redesigned the card and the letterhead.  I can't wait -this event is going to be so much fun!  my next step is to begin decorating hats for our souvenir photo booth.
